DABO Cécile F.
DABO Cécile f. is born in 1986 at Pithiviers (France). Very young passionate by painting , music and dance, Cecile f. Dabo integrates the Institute of Fine Arts of /Rennes (EESAB) in 2004 and quickly directs her work in a practice of video which connects the body and the music in a pictorial way, and connected to the place where it's shown. This practice extends to performance from the third year, and she will present each of her diplomas under this shape, as a commentary of the artwork.
She graduates in 2009, and pursues at Strasbourg, where she joins the CFPI to the the Institute of Fine Arts (HEAR), where she creates the first version of a series, a participative work, realized by other people. She makes a first residence of creation in 2011 in Senegal and still working in Strasbourg today ; participating punctually in collective performances, proposed by other artists (Nadia Lauro, Joachim Montessuis, Loic Touzé, Johanne Leighton…)
Cécile F. Dabo se passionne très jeune pour la peinture, la musique, et la danse, elle intègre l’école des Beaux-Arts de Rennes (EESAB) en 2004 et y oriente rapidement son travail vers une pratique de la vidéo qui lie le corps et la musique, dans un rapport pictural et dans la prise en compte de l'espace de monstration. Cette pratique s’étend à la performance dès la troisième année et elle passera chacun de ses diplômes sous cette forme, en tant que commentaire de l'oeuvre.
Elle obtient le DNSEP Art en 2009 et poursuit son parcours à Strasbourg, où elle intègre le CFPI (Centre de Formation des Plasticiens Intervenants) à l’école des Arts Décoratifs (HEAR) ; elle y crée les premières versions d’une série, oeuvre participative réalisée par tierces personnes. Elle effectue une première résidence de création en 2011 au Sénégal et continue aujourd’hui son travail à Strasbourg ; tout en participant ponctuellement à des performances collectives, proposées par d’autres artistes (Nadia Lauro, Johanne Leighton, Joachim Montessuis, Loïc Touzé…)
